ICEMEN INTERNSHIPS

The Jacksonville Icemen are seeking highly motivated, outgoing, and dedicated candidates for our 2022-2023 Season Internships. Candidates should expect to build upon their work experience in the fast-paced, results driven world of the ECHL.

We are looking for candidates to work in the departments below throughout the organization, including:

Corporate Partnership Sales & Activation
Ticket Sales & Service
Retail Sales
Game/Events Operations & Community Relations
Marketing/Graphic Design

The 2022-23 Icemen Internship program will last through May 2023. Interns are also expected to commit to the full term of the internship (36+ games and events). Applicants must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends for events and games. This internship is for outgoing, hardworking individuals who want to pursue a career in sports.

Internship Requirements

Working towards a four-year college degree, graduate degree, or post-grad
Housing and transportation in the Jacksonville Area
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills
Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Strong professional and positive attitude
Experience in the sports industry preferred
All departments require commitment to working all 36+ home games

Department Intern Positions

Listed below are brief descriptions for each department. Please note that certain departments may ask for additional requirements.

Ticket Sales & Service

The Ticket Sales department is seeking talented individuals to provide assistance to the department with daily administrative duties and clerical support.
Assist in executing various grassroots marketing activities with Ticket Sales department in order to drive ticket sales and brand awareness.
Assist on Game Days with sales, marketing & service initiatives.

Corporate Partnership Sales & Activation

The Corporate Partnerships Intern will learn how to prospect, pitch, and maintain sponsors and partner relationships, while gaining hands-on experience in professional sports marketing and business development.

Game Events/Operations, & Community Relations

The Events & Operations Department seeks individuals passionate about event planning and game day entertainment to receive hands-on training in a live environment.
These interns will also gain experience by working on a variety of community outreach programs and events. Some of the responsibilities include managing team donations and organizing charitable events.
Help run the day to day operations that occur behind the scenes to prep for game day, including set-up.
Assist our team on game day, with everything from planning to execution of events.
Learn customer service by shadowing our staff and being able to observe the problem solving that has to occur on a daily basis .
Interns interested in music/audio can work hands on with our tech team to learn how to operate the sound board.

Marketing/Graphic Design

These interns report to the Marketing Department and will assist in designing print ads, graphics, website ads and content, invitations and other printed and electronic materials.
Assist with capturing and creating content for the team's social media pages.
Work hands on with our graphic design team on graphics, photography, video editing and other creative projects.
Learn what goes into running a successful marketing campaign.
Interns interested in music/audio can work hands on with our tech team to learn how to operate the sound board.
Someone proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and photography is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design is preferred.
Additional opportunities available to expand internship to assist with projects at the Igloo.

Retail Sales

These interns will help facilitate and fulfill merchandise orders, create a organized and efficient process for the team store at Icemen games, maintain inventory numbers, and gain valuable experience with vendors and customer service.
